These are things that can happen: the credit card (or identity card, health card, or driver's license) gets stuck in the center console of our Volkswagen Golf MK VII. In that kind of sliding shutter that covers the center compartment, it ends up between the two plastic parts, where it seems impossible to retrieve it. Yet there is a way: you just have to stay calm. We need to take the armrest and lift it. From the compartment below, we remove the rubber mat, and with a plastic spatula, we lift the front part of the compartment, where a USB port is located: so we need to be a bit gentle. Once the cover is removed, we find our card, and we breathe a sigh of relief.
