Replace the oil and filter on a Volkswagen Touareg. This is a simple operation if you follow the correct steps. Lift the vehicle using a column lift or jack, unscrew the oil sump bolt with a socket wrench, and let the fluid drain into a disposal container; then, re-screw the sump bolt. After draining the oil from the engine, lower the vehicle and lift the bonnet, securing it; remove the engine soundproofing panel, and unscrew the filter using a socket wrench. Finally, top up with new fluid and check the level with the dipstick.
