How to Install a Photocromic Interior Mirror on a Volkswagen T-Roc

In this video, we will see how to install a photocromic rear-view mirror on a Volkswagen T-Roc: first, obtain the mirror which can be found, for example, on naviservice. It has the code Mirror-FC at a price of £99.00 + £9.76 shipping. You will also need a wiring harness with 4 wires for connecting to the interior lights +12 Volts, ground, and BCM PIN 64. For it to function, the car must have climatronic. Remove the plastic trims from the scuff plate, ceiling light, and side panels, taking care not to scratch the windscreen or damage the plastic clips. Connect the short cable to pin 2 of the blue connector for the interior lights (ceiling light), while the white cable should be connected to PIN 64 of the BCM (connector A). For power, connect the red (+12 V taken from the fuse box; the brown (ground) should be fixed to a metal screw. The cables should be routed under the airbag to avoid interference with safety. Now insert and secure the new mirror and then reposition all the plastics and screws. The mirror automatically darkens with the high beams of vehicles behind, improving visual comfort: the optical quality is superior to the standard model.
