How to Reset the Service Light on Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan?

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

You can clear the service light on the Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan by holding down the 0.0/SET button located at the bottom centre of the instrument cluster while the ignition is off: while holding the button, insert the ignition key into the lock and turn it to switch on the ignition. This way, you can release the button and then press it a second time: this will completely clear the light from the instrument cluster. After resetting, you can turn off the ignition for confirmation.
