How to Remove the Steering Wheel on a Volkswagen Polo

How do you remove the steering wheel from a Volkswagen Polo? Follow these steps for removal. Before removing the steering wheel, insert a screwdriver into the holes of the plastic at the back of the steering wheel and twist left/right until you release the metal clips that hold the airbag. Once the airbag is removed: disconnect the power connectors and extract it from the steering wheel (unscrew the central bolt if you want to remove the steering wheel). For reassembling the airbag: connect the power connector, then press the airbag back onto the steering wheel with your hands until the clips snap into place.
