How to remove the steering wheel of a Volkswagen Polo? Let's see how to proceed with the removal. Before removing the car steering wheel. Insert the screwdriver into the holes in the plastic on the rear of the steering wheel and rotate to the left / right until the metal clips that block the airbag are released. Once the airbag has been removed: disconnect the power supply terminals and extract the same from the steering wheel (unscrew the central pin if we want to remove the steering wheel). To reassemble the airbag: connect the power supply terminal, then press the same on the steering wheel with your hands, until the clips inside snap into place.
