How to Open the Key Remote of a Volkswagen Passat

Let's see how to open the key remote of a Volkswagen Passat and how to replace the battery inside. Take your remote and use a screwdriver to lever between the two covers of the key (in the space where they join). Lever until the cover opens. Extract the worn battery with a small screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Mount the small circuit board onto the same cover or replace it with a new one. Finally, join the two covers and check the correct functioning of the remote by pressing the buttons.
