Video tutorial

To replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 TDi, lift the car with a jack so that the corresponding wheel is not in contact with the ground. Once the car is raised, loosen the bolts securing the wheel and remove it along with the corresponding wheel arch liner.

The tensioner pulley will now be accessible and can be released by loosening the central nut. At this point, remove the pulley, reduce the tension on the belt, and take it off its pulleys. The new belt can then be installed, ensuring everything is functioning correctly.
