See how to activate digital services on your Volkswagen. First, download the 'We Connect Volkswagen' app from the app store, then check your email for a message with the subject 'join full XP'. Accept the terms, create a temporary code, set a password, and confirm your email address.

Return to the app, log in with your email and password, complete your personal details, and create a 4-digit PIN. At this point, you have a Volkswagen ID. Enter your vehicle's VIN, select your country, and confirm. Get in the car with both keys and turn on the ignition.

On the infotainment display, go to 'Users', click the icon in the top right, then 'Share my location', go back, click 'User' again, and log in. Once the profile is synced, click 'Become the main user'. When prompted, press the unlock button on both keys to complete the pairing.

If you wish, you can select your preferred Volkswagen centre in the app to enable automatic scheduling of maintenance deadlines.
