How to Open a Volkswagen with the Physical Key

On some Volkswagen models, it is possible to manually open the door using the physical key present on the remote. Looking at the car handle, you will notice that there are no visible locks to insert the key; this is because the manual lock is well hidden under the small fixed part of the handle where the lock is usually found. This is actually a cover that can be removed by levering in the small slot at the bottom of it. Once the cover is removed, you will find a lock where you can insert the physical key and open the door like a standard manual door.
