How to replace the key battery of a Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

To replace the battery of a Volkswagen Golf key, start by pressing the button to release the physical key. Once the key is removed, locate a small groove on the bottom of the key. Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key shell in two halves. Remove the top cover to access the battery compartment. Take note of the orientation of the battery before removing it. Carefully extract the old battery, usually a CR2032 button cell battery. Insert the new battery in the same orientation, making sure the positive side (+) is facing upwards. Reassemble the two halves of the key shell, pressing them together until you hear a click indicating they are securely closed. Finally, reinsert the physical key into its housing. Your key should now work properly with the new battery.
