How to Change the Gear Gaiter on VW Polo

Replace the gear gaiter and knob if they are damaged, here's how. Use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame, cut the fastening strap of the knob. Hold the knob in your hands and twist it left and right until you remove it from the gear stick. Take the new knob and slide it onto the stick in the centre console, tighten it onto the stick; fit the new leather gaiter with the clips. Test the correct fitting of the knob by moving the stick on the centre console. Attach the clips of the gaiter frame to the centre console.
