Today's video will show us how to disassemble and replace the gear shift knob of the Volkswagen Polo, in simple and quick steps. First, we get into the car and start by detaching the shift boot from the base, levering on the sides; we lift the shift boot and detach the metal clamp located between the boot and the knob, as shown in the video. At this point, we pull the gear shift knob forcefully to remove it from the lever, replacing it with the new one; we attach the boot to the knob with the new clamp, finally fixing the boot on the base of the gear shift lever!
