Want to remove the radio from a New Beetle? Let's see how to take out the radio from the dashboard of the New Beetle. Turn off the radio, then use the original or aftermarket metal keys to remove the car stereo. Remove the cover buttons from the holes where you will insert the keys. Insert the keys into the slots on the plastic cover of the stereo, pull the stereo towards you as shown in the video (after the locking click of the keys) and carefully extract the radio, being mindful of the various wiring, and disconnect the power connectors.
