To remove the radio from a Volkswagen New Beetle, use a thin object to lever off the trim around the radio: after removing this trim, you will need to detach the outer trim, which is connected to the air vents. Once these are removed, you will have access to the screws that secure the radio in its housing: by fully unscrewing them and disconnecting the connectors at the back, you will be able to completely remove the radio and replace it with a new one.
