How to remove the air vents on a New Beetle? Follow these steps carefully for disassembly. Using a plastic or metal lever, remove the right air vent and then the left one (located at the centre on the side of the dashboard). Pry between the vent and the plastic trim until the piece disconnects. After detaching the air vents, fit the new air vents into the dashboard (always use a scratch-resistant lever). Assemble the two pieces, and finally, test their proper functioning.
