Removing the Original Radio from a New Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

Is the radio in your Volkswagen New Beetle damaged? Here’s how to remove it from the central dashboard. Insert the release keys into the slots on the plastic trim of the stereo (lower part as shown in the video). Pull the stereo towards you as shown in the video, carefully extracting the radio while being mindful of the various wiring (disconnect the power connectors and the antenna cable). Connect the power connectors to the new radio, insert it into the central dashboard (use the supplied adapter if it’s a generic brand). Secure the radio; turn it on and test its operation.
