Instructions for Removing the Car Radio

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

To remove the original car radio, you first need the appropriate release keys. At the lower ends of the car radio, there are two small slots where the keys must be inserted to disengage the security springs that hold the radio in the dashboard. Insert the keys fully with the bevel facing inwards, disengage the locking springs, and pull the radio outwards using the keys. Once removed, disconnect the plugs attached to it, paying attention to the FM antenna connector's lock.
