How to Reset the Central Locking of the Volkswagen Golf 5?

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

To reset the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 5, open the car using the emergency key, which can be released from the remote by pressing the appropriate button on the top. Once the car is open, insert the key into the ignition lock and turn it to position 1 to synchronise with the car's control unit. At this point, remove the key and close the car. Now, the locking via the remote will be active again, allowing you to lock and unlock the car with the buttons.
