How to Dismantle the Central Locking of the Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

The following instructions will allow you to dismantle and replace the central locking of the Volkswagen Golf. First, open the driver’s side front door and start unscrewing the side fastening screws of the external handle to remove it. Then, dismantle the external door panel to access the lock or central locking mechanism, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the fastening screws to remove and replace the central locking with the new one, applying the reverse procedure!
