Replacing the Battery in the Volkswagen Golf 7 Remote

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

Press the designated button to release the remote key. This will free up space to insert a flathead screwdriver (not a spoon, as shown in the video) and lever it to remove the remote's cover. Now, using a (small) flathead screwdriver, pry under the sought-after battery to extract it from its housing. Insert the new battery you purchased (easily found in large supermarkets or hardware stores) and reassemble the remote by reversing the steps. Test the remote's functionality.
