Replacing the timing belt on a car is quite complex; here are the main steps: first, open the bonnet and lift the car, then disconnect the negative battery terminal, remove the soundproof engine cover, the fuel filter, the coolant reservoir, the right engine mount, the front right wheel, and the inner wheel arch, then remove the undertray and the timing belt cover. Next, remove the auxiliary belt by loosening the tensioner pulley and removing the tensioner, insert locking pins on the camshafts and crankshaft to ensure and maintain engine timing, then remove the crankshaft pulley, loosen the tensioner, and remove the belt.
