To replace the engine mount on a Volkswagen Passat, open the bonnet to access the components in the engine bay. You will need to completely remove the air filter box and the coolant reservoir. Under these two components, you can locate the side mounts of the engine block, which can be freed by undoing the appropriate bolts.

At this point, insert the new mounts, securing them with the correct screws and refitting the removed components.
