To replace the interior rear view mirror on the Volkswagen Passat, grasp the mirror by its support arm and rotate it clockwise. This will release the fixing pin inside the arm from the support on the windscreen. Once the old mirror is removed from the support, position the new mirror on the support: you can then rotate it counterclockwise to secure it. Finally, adjust it according to your needs.
