How to Activate/Deactivate the Alarm on a Volkswagen Golf MK7

This guide discusses how to ACTIVATE the alarm system on the Golf MK7. To DEACTIVATE the alarm, follow the reverse procedure. In any case, you must use the VCDS system for programming. Navigate to Select/9 connect/security-access/enter the code recommended by the system and select DO IT/coding 07/Long coding helper, byte 12. Activate BIT 0, anti-theft system installed/active. Press various ESC/DO IT prompts that appear. It will display CODING ACCEPTED. Go to Adaptation 10, enter THEF and find the corresponding channel 115867, changing it from "not active" to "active". Then press the "new value" button and select "active". Confirm by pressing DO IT. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Confirm it. Another confirmation will follow. Click OK. Repeat the procedure for channel 115864, which should be set to "frequency modulation"; for channel 116855, which should be set to "driver door contact thatcham"; for channel 115812, which should be set to "active"; for 115866, which should be set to 10 alarm; for 116842, which should be set to "active"; and for 115868, which should be set to "2 keine verzoegerung". Now in search, type ACK. Select channel 116669, which should be set to "active"; 116670 should also be set to "active"; 116667 should be set to "non active". At this point, the configurations are complete. You can conclude with a test, whether you wanted to install or uninstall the alarm.
