How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Touran

To reset the service light on a Volkswagen Touran, start by turning on the instrument cluster. Note that the service light needs resetting, then turn off the ignition. With the ignition off, press the 0.0 button and simultaneously turn the ignition on until the "reset oil service" message appears. Press the 0.0 button once, and the message "service interval reset" will show. When the message "inspection in. miles" appears, turn off the instrument cluster. When the clock and date display, press and hold the 0.0 button and turn the ignition on until the "reset inspection interval" message appears. Release the button, press it again, and the message "service interval reset" will show, followed by a new inspection interval with many more miles. Once the inspection message is cleared, turn off the instrument cluster.
