To reset the service light on the Volkswagen Polo, proceed as follows: start by turning on the instrument panel, the message 'service oil' will flash, turn off the instrument panel, hold down the button below the total km display until dashes appear on the display, and finally, 'km 0.0' will appear. After this operation, you can turn on the instrument panel, turn it off, turn it back on, and then finally start the car and wait a few minutes with the engine running at idle. After a few minutes, you can turn off the engine. Turn on the instrument panel and notice that the 'service oil' message no longer appears; the procedure is complete.
