To replace the car battery, follow these steps: remove the ignition key, pull the handbrake, and then open the bonnet. The battery is located on the left side of the engine bay; lift the battery cover and first unscrew the negative terminal, then remove the positive terminal. Remove the battery cover and unscrew the securing screws at the base. Then take the new battery and position it in the housing, reattach the screws at the base, replace the cover, and finally reconnect the positive terminal first, followed by the negative terminal.
