This brief video tutorial shows you how to reset the service light, which indicates the remaining oil life, on a sixth-generation Volkswagen Golf, produced from 2008 to 2012. First, with the engine off, press and hold the "0.0/SET" button on the right side of the speedometer. Now turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Once done, release the "0.0/SET" button and immediately press the button on the left side of the speedometer to complete the reset. This operation should be performed at every oil change of the vehicle.
