Where is the Legal VIN Located on the Volkswagen Golf VI?

The legal VIN of a vehicle is not the one shown on the plate to the left of the windscreen on the driver's side. It is important to know that this is simply a courtesy plate, primarily used in the automotive world to move the vehicle before it has a registration plate.
