Detailed instructions - In this video tutorial, you will see how to perform a service on the Volkswagen Golf 7. First, lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Next, raise the oil dipstick and unscrew the oil filler cap. Then, lift the car with a hydraulic jack and place safety stands underneath. Position a drain pan under the engine to collect the used oil; take a 20 mm spanner and unscrew the bolt located under the engine. Wait for all the oil to drain into the pan, then refit the oil drain bolt. To remove the filter, use a 13 mm socket to unscrew the cap, allowing all the oil to drain out; then refit the cap and use a 32 mm socket to remove the filter, replacing the rubber O-ring as well. Unscrew the cap with the 13 mm spanner and replace the O-ring, then fit the new filter.
