Let's see how to replace the shock absorber springs on the Volkswagen Transporter T5: first we need to lift the car off the ground, after loosening the wheel bolts. Let us therefore avail ourselves of the assistance of two forks which will help us to keep the weight of the car in safety. Then we remove the wheels. To remove the shock absorber we will need a 21 socket wrench. We remove the spring to be replaced and put the new one in its place, forcing its compression with a jack. We can re-hook the shock absorber lever to its lower mount and proceed to the other side. Then we can put the wheels back in place and bring the car back to the ground. Job done.
