How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Golf 6?

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

To reset the Service light on a Volkswagen Golf 6, turn on the ignition to access the menu on the onboard computer. Use the arrows on the right side of the steering wheel to scroll right until you find "SETTINGS". Then scroll down to select "Service interval" and subsequently "Reset". Selecting these options will bring up a confirmation message; confirm the reset by selecting "Yes" with the OK button. Once the operation is complete, you can turn off the ignition completely.
