To replace the button battery located inside the intelligent key of your Volkswagen ID 3 (year 2019-2023), you just need to follow a few simple steps. First of all, you need to remove the emergency physical key. Then, press and hold the small button located on the side of the cover and pull the metal part upwards. Once you have done this, remove the back cover and locate the exhausted battery and remove it. Finally, replace it with the new one, making sure it is fully compatible (model CR 2032). Finally, reattach the back cover and you are done.
