Replacing the battery of a Volkswagen ID3 key fob is not a complicated procedure. The steps are very simple; just have a small flat-head screwdriver and a new battery ready, ensuring it is the correct model, specifically a flat CR 2032 3V type. Take the key fob of your car and open the front casing where the car logo is located; you can open the casing simply by prying it outward with your fingers. At this point, you will have access to the battery compartment: use the screwdriver tip to pry at the edges of the battery and remove it. Finally, proceed to replace the exhausted battery.
