To quickly and independently replace the battery in your Volkswagen ID.3 key, you only need a small flathead screwdriver and, of course, a new battery (model CR 2032). Let's find out how to do it. First, press and hold the button on the left side of the cover and simultaneously pull out the emergency key contained within the cover. Next, use the emergency key to remove the rear cover, and finally, remove the exhausted battery with the help of the flathead screwdriver. At this point, simply insert the new battery and reassemble the cover.
