How to Reset the Service Light on a Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009

On a Volkswagen Polo, to reset the service light, press and hold the button located on the right side of the instrument cluster: keep it pressed while the cluster is off. While continuing to hold the button, turn the ignition key in the lock, turning on the instrument cluster. Once it is on, continue to hold the button until the light resets; at this point, you can release the button and by switching the cluster off and back on, you will see that the light has been reset.
