How to Repair the Headlining on a Volkswagen Golf

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

If you want to repair the headlining when you notice that the covering has come loose, follow the useful instructions and steps outlined below for the repair. If the part that has come loose is the front section above the sun visors and courtesy lights, first remove the panel of the latter and unscrew the supports of the sun visor. Then unscrew the support screws of the frame that holds the courtesy lights and the small overhead storage compartment. At this point, completely remove the headlining from the cabin to detach the covering. Remove any glue residue and position the new covering, gluing it in place. Finally, reassemble the headlining and all components in reverse order.
