How to Repair the Headlining of a Volkswagen Golf VI

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

There are three things to know about car headlinings: The first is to avoid using Bostik to glue the fabric, as it dampens the material and does not dry properly. The second is not to use super glue, as it burns the fabric. The third is not to use silicone, as it damages the headlining itself. The only method is as suggested in our video: remove the headlining, scrape off all the remaining foam from the headlining, and reattach the new upholstery with upholstery glue, gradually, ten centimetres at a time to avoid bubbles. Naturally, the difficulty lies in shaping the parts that are not flat, which is why this operation should be entrusted to a professional.
