To replace the headliner on the Volkswagen Golf, you need to remove all the bulky components that prevent the removal of the interior roof lining: you will need to remove the interior rearview mirror, the handles, the door pillars, etc. Once the headliner has been detached, it will be possible to open the rear hatch and extract the headliner: in this way it will be possible to insert the new replacement piece and fix it to the top of the roof. Finally, all the components that were previously removed can be repositioned.
