To replace the headliner of the Volkswagen Golf, you need to remove all the bulky components that prevent its removal: you will have to detach the door pillar coverings, also removing the courtesy light fixture, the handles on the top, and the interior rearview mirror.

Once all these parts have been removed, you can completely detach the headliner in order to open the rear hatch: the headliner can be completely removed from its housing, so that the new one can be inserted.
