Resetting the Service Light on a Volkswagen Passat

Once you have completed the maintenance operations as specified by the manufacturer on your Volkswagen Passat, you need to reset the Service light, which alerts you to the need for intervention. Position yourself in the driver's seat, and with the ignition off, press and hold the "0.0" button located at the bottom centre between the two circular instruments. Press the "Start" button once to turn on the ignition, release the button, and press it again briefly: the procedure is complete. Turn off and then turn on the ignition to verify the correctness of the operation.
