How to Enable and Disable Fog Lights on the Volkswagen Golf VIII

In this video, you can see how to enable and disable the fog lights on a Volkswagen Golf VII: on this vehicle, the method is not so straightforward and must be known, or you risk not being able to turn on the fog lights just when this functionality is needed.

First, remember that the fog lights only turn on when the dipped beam headlights are on; they do not work alone.

Turn the stalk all the way to the right until you reach the rear fog light symbol (which is the only mandatory one), and then pull the knob towards you. This way, you will also see the corresponding light on the dashboard illuminate. To disable the function, simply push the knob and return the selector to the dipped beam headlights or to 'auto'.
