Instructions for Disassembling the Driveshaft

If you hear a noise coming from the wheel, especially with the wheels fully turned, it may indicate a failure of a driveshaft's CV joint: to resolve this, you must disassemble the driveshaft itself. Before raising the vehicle, it is advisable to remove the hub cap and loosen the driveshaft retaining nut. At this point, lift the vehicle, remove the wheel, and detach the retaining bolts of the driveshaft flange on the gearbox side. Then, extract the CV joint from the gearbox side, and move the suspension to remove the other end at the wheel side.
