Replacement of Wing Mirror Glass on VW Golf 6

If the glass of the external wing mirror breaks, you can replace just the glass instead of the entire unit: the complete glass with the relevant support is available as a spare part, allowing it to be fixed to the mounting plate and adjusted. When purchasing the spare part, check if the glass is equipped with a demisting system. To carry out the replacement, orient the glass fully inwards and lever it off from the back to detach it. Then disconnect the connectors that power the demisting system and connect them to the new glass, which simply needs to be aligned and clicked into the support.
