How to open the trunk hatch locked in the Volkswagen Tiguan?

In the Volkswagen Tiguan, it may happen that the tailgate of the trunk gets stuck due to, for example, a malfunction in the control button or the related lock. In these cases, it is possible to perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First of all, we open the right rear door, then we lower the backrest of the sofa by operating the appropriate lever. We then go inside the trunk, locate the small slot on the lower edge, and manually operate the lock. If the lock is stuck, it will be necessary to cut part of the indicated plastic cover.
