On the Volkswagen Tiguan, the boot lid may become stuck, for example, due to a fault with the locking mechanism or the control button. In this case, you can still perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this video.

First, open the left rear door, then pull towards you the indicated strap and lower the backrest of the seat. Next, go to the boot, locate the gap in the centre, and using a flat-head screwdriver, disengage the lock.
