How to replace the headlight bulb of a Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

To replace the headlight bulb of a Volkswagen Golf, start by opening the hood. Locate the back of the headlight, where you will find a plastic cover or a rubber cap that protects the bulb assembly. Remove this cover by unscrewing the screws or unlocking the clips that hold it in place. Once the cover is removed, you will see the electrical connector of the bulb. Disconnect the connector by pressing the release clip and gently pulling it apart. The bulb is usually held in place by a retention spring. Remove the spring and take out the faulty bulb. Insert the new bulb into the same housing, making sure it is properly positioned. Reattach the retention spring to secure the bulb. Reconnect the electrical connector and reattach the plastic or rubber cover, securing it as it was originally. Close the hood and turn on the headlights to verify that the new bulb is working correctly.
