Repair of Silent Block Bushes with Inserts

Model: Volvo V70 MK 1 - Years 1996-2000
Part: Bushings

When the deterioration of some bushes (silent blocks) occurs, the first consequence is increased noise, especially when driving on uneven surfaces; in fact, once the rubber element inside the bush is damaged, it can no longer absorb and dampen vibrations. The solution to the problem would be the replacement of the wishbones and/or the entire subframe housing the bushes; otherwise, you can opt for the replacement of just the bushes, which would still require the removal of the wishbones. To avoid all this, it is possible to purchase rubber inserts (the most well-known are those from IPD USA) to insert inside the damaged bush, restoring its functionality: it will be sufficient to unscrew the fixing pin of the bush, apply the insert inside, secure it with the appropriate adhesive, and re-screw the pin.
