In order to replace the engine oil of the Yamaha XT 1200Z, you need to loosen the screws that secure the engine guard plate on the bottom of the motorcycle: once this plate is removed, you can proceed by unscrewing the cap located on the lower left side of the vehicle, allowing the engine oil to drain into a properly positioned container. Once the oil has been completely drained, you can remove the oil filter from its housing on the front bottom, and insert the new replacement piece. Finally, you can top up the oil by pouring it through the side vent.
