You can replace the battery of the Yamaha TDM 850 by loosening the screws that secure the seat to its housing, allowing you to remove it completely: once the seat is removed, you will be able to locate the battery underneath. This will need to be freed from the screws securing it at the top and the power cables; then proceed with the screws at the bottom, accessible from the area between the rear mudguard and the swingarm. Once these screws are loosened, you can extract the battery from this point to insert the new one.
